Mark McGill grew up in suburban Chicago and always wanted to either be Harry Carey or Lou Brock, but he couldn’t hit a curve ball. What he could do was use his mouth, and so a career in broadcasting was born.
After stops in Orlando, Fla., Grand Rapids, Mich., Saginaw, Mich., and Abilene, Tx, he finally made it back “home” to South Bend.
Mark has been with Federated Media for 19 years. In addition to being a part of the B100 Morning Show Weekdays 5:30a-10a, he can also be heard on the way home from work from 2p -7p on Froggy 102.7.
In his spare time, he spends 72 of his summer nights at Four Winds Field, as the on-field emcee for the South Bend Cubs as well as the public address announcer for Notre Dame Women’s Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse.
Mark lives in Mishawaka with Julie, his daughters Kennedy and Madison and three of the cutest dogs on the planet, Wrigley, Shawzie, and Murphy.
