Jim’s Bio

I started in radio when I was 17… way before the internet, and back when phones were still attached to the kitchen wall. My first on air shift was weekend’s midnight to 6am while I was still in high school. After graduation I went to college in Minneapolis, MN. My first fulltime radio job was in Rockford, IL doing mornings at a little AM country station. That’s where my 30 years in this fun and crazy business started. I have worked in Rockford, IL, Madison, WI, Springfield, MO, San Antonio, TX, Peoria, IL, and now I am super excited to be a part of your mornings on B100. I have 3 beautiful daughters: Taylor, Karley, and Valerie. By the way…I’m a big fan of Rodney Atkins song “Cleaning This Gun” LOL.  I like to play golf, cook, and hang out with friends and family. I’m a huge Cub fan and love Da Bears! And Go Irish! I guess it was a sign that I would be in country music when I told my mom and dad that I wanted to be just like Johnny Cash. I was only 4! I’m a huge fan of Johnny, Willie, Merle Haggard, Tim, Blake, Garth, Carrie, and Miranda….just to name a few. Enjoy the show, and thank you for letting me be a part of your morning.
